Sound enabled-get crashes when pressing to load another rom

This has happens on Windows 8.1 x64bit amd processor AMD quad-core. If I disable sound, I can load any roms or isos, no problem, but if while in-game, I enable sound and try to load any rom or isos, the instance I click Kega Fusion crashes. This happens with “run as administrator” on or any other compatibility mode or even if I add it to DEP as an exception. I have DirectX 11.2 if this makes any difference. I do not think anyone but the author would know why this happens. Please, is there some sort of answer to why enabling sound is affecting Kega stability.

To make clear, if Kega Fusion is started with sound enabled, the first rom loads-no crash; but the next rom load causes a crash..everytime.
